The medialuna
Not quite a croissant.
The Argentine medialuna is smaller, sweeter and more delicate than a French croissant: a tender crumb, a rich buttery flavour, and syrup brushed on while it is still warm so the top stays glossy.
De manteca
Made with butter. Soft crumb, glossy top, lightly sweet.
Rellenas
The filled ones: dulce de leche, pistachio cream, Nutella.
Why Crave?
Made differently.
Argentine recipe
Inspired by a family recipe from Argentina.
Baked fresh
One batch a week. Nothing sits.
Made by hand
Every box is folded, filled and packed by one person.
Richmond
Baked in Richmond. Pickup here; delivery inside Virginia only.

Our story
From Argentina to Richmond
Hi, I'm Marina. I grew up amongst the trays and the aroma of freshly baked dough in my dad's bakery in Argentina, a business that's practically an institution with nearly forty years of history. That's where I discovered the magic of the details and the love for the craft.
Today, from my kitchen in Richmond, I want to share that very same legacy with you. I started Crave Medialunas to be present for every stage of my baby's growth, but also to share a little piece of my tradition with you. Every medialuna I make carries that same old-world dedication, but with my heart set on building our own path here.

Breakfast for a room full of people, baked to order. One batch a week has a fixed capacity, so a large order starts with a conversation.

Questions
What is a medialuna?
An Argentine breakfast pastry: smaller than a croissant, softer in the crumb, brushed with syrup while it is still warm.
How many should I order per person?
a dozen serves about 4 people
For a breakfast where the medialunas are the main thing, count two a head; where there is other food on the table, one each.
When do orders close?
Thursday 11:59pm
That is the last moment an order can join that week’s batch.
Where do I collect them?
1725 West Cary St, Richmond, VA
Saturday 9:30am–12:00pm
Do you deliver?
Delivery is inside Virginia only. That is the law for a cottage food kitchen, not a preference.
What is in them?
Eggs, dairy (milk and butter), wheat and gluten, tree nuts (hazelnuts and pistachios) and soy. The weekly rotating special sometimes contains peanuts.
Every product page lists that product’s own ingredients and allergens, because the filled ones are not all the same.
